Days 7-12: There was no working out this week. I left work and went to Revival at my church every night and didn't get home until after 9 each night. I should have gotten up and worked out before I started the rest of my day, but I didn’t because that’s hard for me, and I just couldn’t get myself out of bed.

Days 13-18: Friday morning (my day 12) I woke up with HORRIBLE sinus issues and there was no way I could workout; I couldn’t breathe much less try to workout. I finally went to the Dr. on Monday; got an antibiotic to fight off the infection and now I’m in recovery mode. I’m sure I’ll get this started back up hopefully in the next couple of days. I may start over completely since it’s been 2 weeks since I worked out.

Day 5: I did not work out this day. I was having a invitation assembly party with my friend so I cut invitation layers so that we could assemble the invites. Moving on...

Day 6 (Level 1):
I felt very sore today when I started working out. The first circuit just about killed me today. For some reason my arms were VERY tired and sore; I could barely get push-ups done and the lunge-and-press exercise was very difficult for me. Most of the other sections seemed fine for me and I can certainly tell my stamina is growing. After I'd been going for about 5 minutes I felt great and finished the workout pretty strong with only three 2-second breaks. I hope I can eventually get to work through the entire video with breaks, which I thought I would be able to do by now...:-\.

Just some words of wisdom, don't eat before doing this video workout. I ate about an hour before I worked out and I felt very sick about halfway through the video. Wow...just don't do it! :P

Day 3:It was a no go. L I was sore (a 6 on a 10 point scale) but that was not the reason I didn't work out. Aunt Flo came into town yesterday and I just couldn't get myself to face Jillian last night. So shame on me...let's move on! :)

Day 4 (Level 1): I worked it today! I felt great, not nearly as sore as yesterday. I cut the three breaks I did take down to two seconds and I worked! I felt great about getting home and working out before I had to be at church. Today, I had trouble with that second set of push-ups...I just can't hardly do another set after that second exercise, but I'll get there. I feel that I did much better with the squat-and-lateral raises today than I have since I started. I'm very pleased with today's workout and I can only hope to feel this well about it tomorrow!

Good news from Day 1: I wasn’t sore a bit this morning when I woke up, which certainly helped and motivated me to complete Day 2.

Day 2 (Level 1): I felt that I did much better with tonight’s workout. I only had to take 3 of the 5-second breaks and I completed 20 girly push-ups with my first set tonight where I didn’t even complete 10 the last night. I know that much of that improvement is due to me being more familiar to the workout than I was last night. I’m very pleased with being able to finish this workout tonight with much less resistance from my body. The part I notice myself struggling with the most are the squats-n- shoulder press combination as well as the lunge-n-front raise combination (I’m not sure I used to correct terminology, but I’m sure you know what I’m talking about). Overall, Day 2 was a success. J

I have finally been shredded!

I couldn't start last week with all the other girls, but I was able to start tonight. I had been working out with my EA Sports Active until I got sick a couple weeks ago and I still have some leftover yuckiness, but I have to get this started (and it may even help me kick the last of this sickness. I figured I'd start back with The Shred & I must say that the shred uses many of the same exercises as EA Sports only it keeps the pace up more than EA Active does.

Day 1 (Level 1): I struggled with parts of the workout where I did have to take the 5 second break (three/four time I had to take the break). Tomorrow I can hopefully go with only a couple of the breaks or none. I did the 'advanced' version for every exercise with the exception of the push-ups. Hopefully I'll do better tomorrow!

I'm 24 years old, born in Lenoir, NC. I recently graduated from Gardner-Webb University with my BS in Accounting. My FI, Jason works as a Paramedic for the county and also works as a Firefighter at the local department. I have been with my fiance for 5 years, and as much as he enjoys me just as I am, I don't. I'm not here to necessarily lose weight as much as I am to simply tone my body for the wedding. So, I embark on this journy to tone-ness!
